Leaving Karratha we travelled to Gnoorea Point (40 Mile Beach). The waterholes in the rocks are very pretty and I loved wondering around exploring them for a couple of days.
Kev and I fished from the beach and caught 5 good whiting for dinner. You can get water at the turnoff at the Gas Plant for a donation. This place has camps all along the beach and is very pretty. There are clean long drop toilets, dump points and bins.
On our way to Exmouth we found a nice free camp at Yannarie camp (Barradale) which has toilets and dump point. This time of year the river is dry but quite a good spot.
Exmouth is a small resort town which has most of your needs. Nearby is the Cape Range National Park which includes the famous Ningaloo Marine Park. This is one place we really wanted to visit. Before you go into Ningaloo Marine Park you have to prebook a site online. The sites are a good size and Kev even made friends with a Kangaroo. The water is so blue and clear and there are so many spots to snorkel and swim. While snorkeling we saw all kinds of coral, fish, sea slugs and clams. Just beautiful. 
Moving on we called into Coral Bay for a look. The water here is very aqua blue and you can swim and snorkel so close to shore. Just beautiful.

On our way into Quobba Station we stopped at the Blow Holes. The powerful ocean swells push through sea caves and up through holes in the rocks and water shoots out up to 20 mts high. The sound of the water rushing up through the caves followed by this spectacular display is awesome to see.

Quobba is a working pastoral station and offer several types of accommodation. We spent some time exploring this property on some of the many roads and tracks. With 80 km of coastline here it can change dramatically from soft sandy beaches to large cliffs, it offers land based game fishing, surfing and snorkeling.
In Carnarvon we stayed at the Coral Coast Tourist Park which is close to town and well set out with plenty of space, spotless amenities and a lovely pool.
We ventured down to the old One Mile Jetty Precinct (jetty now closed). This precinct is a not for profit organisation and offers Lighthouse Keepers Cottage / Museum, Shearing Hall of Fame, Railway Station Museum and Walking trails. So please donate. In the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage we found old photos of the Jetty and of the Whaling that was once done in the area. Very Interesting area.
